Whiplash Cafe

The Background Story

Teammates, friends and now business partners Collingwood’s Jordan Roughead and hospitality heavyweight Jordan Faulkner, along with Callum Brown, Nathan Murphy and Brody Mihocek officially launched Whiplash Hawthorn, a corner store reborn as coffee-and-sandwich-slinging pitstop on 226 Auburn Road. When first contracted, Whiplash was an old milkbar and Loft Social was engaged to envision a strategy and bring it to life amongst the local and wider audience. We developed a go-to-market content strategy covering all phases of development, from shoots to launch, as well as producing over 6 months of content (ongoing) in the form of interviews, reels, PR and social media management. From go to whoa, it was an absolute hoot riding the highs and lows of building and launching this incredible café, and it showed in the results.
